Does he really love me? I also want to know him the more what should i do?

My boyfriend is from a different nationality and about 10 years older than i. i am 25 years now and we are about to make 1 year in relationship. but my worry is he has never took me to his place and when i asked he told me i will prepare. secondly i have asked for money from him twice and he takes long much as am not money oriented but you cant love without money. he can takes you out for dinner and drop you home without giving you any money for up keep. so i wonder does he really love me because i want to settle i do not want to waste my time.
